“Rain” is the comeback single that propelled Dragon back into the charts after they had disbanded for a couple of years due to a few minor personal issues. I’m glad they got themselves sorted because this song is a true 80’s classic.
The only reason it didn’t get to number one was a shitty “comedy” track from some bloke calling himself Austen Tayshus that everyone thought was witty and fell in love with. Actually it was pretty clever (written by Billy Birmingham) but that’s not the point.
Actually, thinking about it now, I suppose “Rain” was in fact the best “song” at the time. I know, I know…TECHNICALLY it didn’t get to number one but it makes me feel a lot better to think about it as the best song when it charted because It’s such a good track and deserves the recognition.
